This is a hosted meal.
There is nothing more satisfying than a place that lives up to high expectations. I've been wanting to check out Cassell's Hamburgers for a while now. The iconic burger place has been around since 1948, but its makeover in Koreatown is only a few years old.
The menu - and the entire restaurant - is classic, with a modern touch. We're talking tuna melts using sustainable, wild-caught poached albacore. Organic eggs.
This is their vegan burger - I love that it comes with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on a separate plate. Abe opted for grilled onions, too.
I got my burger (fresh beef ground in the original grounder and pattied with the original press) alongside a salad. It looks simple but it was soooooooo gooooood.
Order. The. Fries.
And pie! There's a (really fast) rotating case filled with sweet options. This is the Blackberry Vanilla. I was told that it's quite excellent.
Abe was a fan of their coffee too (La Colombe).
