A Visit to Aardman Animation Studios

We recently went to go see Shaun the Sheep, which made me incredibly happy and nostalgic.  So I'm doing a flashback post about our trip to Aardman Animation Studios. Once upon a time, Abe worked on “Creature Comforts America."  The animation side of things took place in England, and in September of 2006, I tagged along with him for a quick (and I mean quick) business trip.

Bristol, England itself is adorable.  I really dug that little city.

This was a few years before I started blogging.  I think this may have been the only photo of me taken with food...

...we were obviously much more interested in this!

It was such a treat, considering how huge a fan I was (and still am) of their art.

Afterwards, we spent a day in London before heading back to Los Angeles. Later that year, Abe surprised me with this commissioned clay statue of Julius.  It's one of my favorite birthday gifts ever.
