Taiwan: Kavalan Whiskey and My First Taiwanese Night Market

Day 2 of Taiwan was just as packed as Day 1!  After a light breakfast at the Landis Inn Lotung Hotel, we visited the National Center for Traditional Arts in Wujie, Yilan County.   Aside from many beautiful buildings/lakes, there is a lot of shopping, entertainment, and food available.

There was a tasting - I didn't participate, but Tara did!

After everyone had a nice buzz, we drove to Link Restaurant, also in Yilan County.

This 5th Generation restaurant received the Michelin Taiwan Golden Cauldron Award.  So of course, it was unbelievable.  Another fancy multi-course menu like the night before at Formosa Pearl...

I made a video explaining what everything is that I'll upload on my YouTube Channel once I'm home, but in the meantime, feast your eyes on the deliciousness.

Abe had his own special dishes prepared...

...I know this doesn't look vegetarian, but I swear it was just a mushroom.

Stuffed, everyone passed out on the three hour car ride to Hualien City.

Ziqiang Night Market - my first Taiwan Night Market ever!

Gigi got some fried squid, I mostly looked at things with my mouth wide open in astonishment.

I was still full from lunch, and it was also hot - so Abe and I shared a big cup of Shaved Ice with fresh mango, much to the astonishment of our tour guide Tina...

...I guess people in Taiwan don't eat dessert for breakfast, lunch, and dinner like I do!
